Wolverine Makes Debut At Farm
Last year, Wolverine Farm started cleaning house, and, as always happens while digging through piles of memories, our minds began to wander: what are we doing here? And what do we want to do in the future?
Through many meetings, walks, and bike rides, we knew we wanted to change our website, our look, and how we get our books and publications to our readers. The idea of a Community Supported Publishing model began to take shape. Now, just like our farming friends with CSA’s–Community Supported Agriculture–you can purchase a share from Wolverine Farm, and get our books, newspapers, and special editions mailed straight to you (or pick up at our downtown Fort Collins bookstore). We feel this change will allow us to grow the publishing side of our operations, and provide our readers with the finest literature possible.
Additionally, we’ve completely revamped our website, switched our logo from our yurt to a wolverine (we will miss you little yurt, but nomads will do what nomads will do), and integrated the name of our bookstore. After 7 years as the Matter Bookstore we felt compelled to fully develop our ideas about Wolverine Farm. We’ll still publish the annual Matter Journal and the quarterly Matterhorn, but from now on we’ll be known as “Wolverine Farm Publishing Co. & Bookstore.” As Thoreau said, simplify, simplify, simplify.
We’ve been working for months on these improvements, and it feels good to finally share them with you. Check out our new website (www.wolverinefarm.org), and look for new blog posts each week about Fort Collins and our community. We love feedback, so let us know what you think of these changes (send an email to todd@wolverinefarm.org), or send us a letter at: PO BOX 814, Fort Collins, CO, 80522.
Thank you for your time, and your support of, and belief in, Wolverine Farm.
