Community Meeting on Fracking
On Thursday, August 2nd at 7pm, there will be a open meeting about fracking in Fort Collins and Larimer County at The Bean Cycle & Wolverine Farm. If you are concerned about the oil and gas industry moving into our city and county, come learn more from community members and educate yourself about fracking.
Hydraulic fracturing, or “fracking,” is happening close to our backyards—Weld County has close to 18,000 active oil & gas wells, more than anywhere else in the entire country. Fort Collins City Council recently overturned a moratorium on fracking. How close will you allow fracking to your own backyard?
We are uncomfortable with fracking, and with the rhetoric unleashed by the oil & gas industry. We aim to educate, inform, and engage our fellow citizens on this matter. Join us.
