With this crown of laurel leaves we present to you, Melissa Mitchell, the new Poet Laureate of Fort Collins! Congratulations Melissa! Many thanks to the hundreds of people who voted this time around, and also to the other nominees who are dedicated to the craft and art of poetry. Melissa will serve from 2024-2026, and we can’t wait to see what she comes up with to promote poetry in our community. The Fort Collins Poet Laureate program is spearheaded by Wolverine Farm Publishing staff and volunteers, and is supported by the Jason Sheppard Greer and Lucy Kim Greer Foundation for the Arts.

Wolverine Farm Publick House is a creative outpost and event space in Fort Collins’ River District. All profits go to Wolverine Farm Publishing, a local 501(c)3 non-profit publishing company. This funding helps generate our creative programming including literary outreach, a variety of workshops from writing to wood-working, and periodic celebrations of things particularly suited to Fort Collins. In addition to our programming, we offer various options for public and private event rentals, and specialize in cultural and community-based collaborations with non-profits, businesses, and makers to help people lead more creative and engaged lives. We sell wares from local makers, house Perelandra Books, and offer sensibly-sourced food, coffee, tea, beer, and wine to our patrons. Your dollars make a difference.
