Own It Fest

all month long — August 2019

Join us for a month-long celebration of literature and art. Help us own our space and secure Wolverine for future generations.

Wolverine is a uniquely Fort Collins community hub and literary arts institution. Our publick house in Downtown’s River District brings the community together for workshops, readings, creative events and to raise a glass. Our publick house funds our publishing house, which produces a community newspaper and books by local and regional writers and artists.

Buy a pint, buy a poem.

In a very real way, when you buy latte or a beer, you’re making poetry happen. Where else in Fort Collins can you do that?

A tax-deductible cash donation puts your money where our heart and our community is. If each person in Fort Collins put a fiver in the jar, we could feed our mortgage to the worms. Any amount helps.

Get in the mix during one of our many Own It events during August. Explore the space, take part in the art and experience the vibrant Fort Collins literary community. Your presence is your present.

Make Wolverine your place to coffice, meet up and unwind this August. Spread the word. Bring your friends. Buy a pint or a print or a poem. Every dollar in the register makes a difference.

A month of giving, just for Wolverine.

Taking place August 1 through 31, Own It Fest invites you to support Wolverine’s vision of building a community of wild, literate and passionate spirits.

Help the poets, painters and printers of Fort Collins own their own magic. As Wolverine enters our 18th year, we have an extraordinary opportunity to own our own space. As a thriving city rises around us, we choose to stay grounded at 316 Willow Street for future creative endeavors and shared experiences. We’re asking you to help Wolverine own our place in the community — figuratively and literally.

August is Wolverine month, and we’re going to Own It with your help.

I wish every town had a place like this. It’s one of the places that really makes me excited to live in Fort Collins, because people like Wolverine Farm invest in this community and make it the great city it is.

$80k will pay the mortgage for a year

and get the next phase of our evolution started on the right foot.

$200k will keep our expenses on par

with the last three years, allowing us to continue to produce the same amount of content and events.

$800k will allow us to own our building outright,

reinvest our revenue with more impact and secure Wolverine for future generations.

All donations will be used toward composting our mortgage for the Letterpress & Publick House. In the event that we do not meet our goal at this time, all donations will be used to support our mission of publishing quality works of literature and art that mindfully engage humans with the world.
