In this workshop, join experienced freelance writer Zanny Merullo Steffgen for a casual but informative dive into personal essay writing. Through discussion, exercises, and short readings, learn to create polished pieces of personal writing. We’ll touch on how to turn experiences and feelings into pieces that will resonate with others, and how to structure, write, and edit essays for potential submission or personal use. You are welcome to bring personal essay drafts you’re working on (as long as you’re willing to share an excerpt with the group), but this is not required. At the end, you’ll leave ready to tell your story! Donations are welcome.
