Rachael Stark Exhibit Opening/ First Friday Art Walk

Join Wolverine Farm for our First Friday event! Each month we feature a different artist or group in our upstairs event hall. For the month of November we welcome Rachael Stark and her exhibition entitled, “Reverie.”

A state of being pleasantly lost in one’s thoughts; a daydream. Reverie captures how I have come to mirror my sense of being with my creative process. I think often times as we move through life we forget the importance of imagination and play, and I have come to view creation in its truest form as just this. Reverie is centered on the exploration of life events and the memories that surround them. Using printmaking, I aim to illustrate this original state of mind and further explore the landscape that encompasses my surfaced emotions. I am drawn to the physical nature of printmaking. I find that as the layered shapes and colors build upon one another, so does my recollection of the particular moment recalled. By creating a physical manifestation of memory, I am pushing the idea of the ephemeral nature of time. I hope you all have the chance to step into these small snippets of my dreamworld and allow yourselves, even if for just a moment, to get lost within.

This event is free and open to the public. The show remains on view through November.

First Friday Art Walk is a free self-guided walking tour that celebrates creativity, visual art and musical performances on the first Friday of each month from 6pm – 9pm.

The unique monthly exhibits at 20+ downtown businesses showcase a spectrum of artistic styles to entertain and engage both amateurs and art aficionados of all ages, interests and background.
