First Friday at the Farm

Stop in during the First Friday Gallery Walk for a unique art event at Wolverine Farm featuring artists of the visual and literary bent. This November, we welcome Paula Watson-Lakamp and her exhibit of paintings, “Farm to Canvas: Living the Country Life.”

Born and raised in Colorado, I have always enjoyed the beauty, tranquility, and environment this area affords. I enjoy the vast open spaces and patterns of the rural farms and fields surrounding this area as well as the mountains we see every day. I enjoy having my indoor and outdoor landscapes emphasize the natural vibrancy and rich colors of the area.

I feel I have created a style in bringing elements of classic impressionism together with modern expressionism, with a blast of color and light bounce.

My painting has become brighter, more passionate, and full of painterly fun since my return to the fine art world. I am enjoying painting every week, interacting with the artist community as well as teaching classes.
