Group Meditation by Insight Fort Collins
Join us weekly for forty minutes of sitting meditation (with brief meditation instructions given at the beginning) followed by a short dharma talk. All are welcome; this is a space for seasoned meditators, first-timers and everyone in between.
We will be practicing and offering instruction in insight meditation, which is a simple and direct practice of moment to moment mindfulness. As insight deepens, we develop greater self-control and composure in the face of change, leading to a natural understanding of ourselves and the world around us. While the context of this style of meditation stems from Buddhist teachings – the practices are universal.
If you have a meditation cushion please bring it. We have a few cushions to share and plenty of chairs.
Donations are accepted to cover expenses, however all teachings and meditation instruction are free in keeping with the spirit of generosity.
