Melina Be anniversary sale/concert
June 3 @ 4:30 pm - 9:00 pm

More details to come
Melina Be will be celebrating the seventh anniversary of her Fort Collins-based business with a
dance party at Wolverine Farm Publick House on Saturday, June 3 from 5-8 pm. As her company has expanded its horizons to include wearable fiber arts, sewing, jewelry making and leatherwork, she has also deepened her connections to the Fort Collins community of likeminded artisans and patrons of handmade wearable art. So this dance party, with live music provided by Jasper Grooves Collective, will be a thank you to the community and an acknowledgment of all the people that have helped make her dream of running her own business possible. In addition to live music, the event will be catered by the Wolverine and will feature hors d’oeuvres and assorted plates.
As an artist, Mélina says that “color and texture are the two major sources of inspiration for the
art” that she creates. “Whether I am knitting, weaving, crocheting, sewing or making jewelry, I am always seeking out ways to blend colors and textures in unexpected ways.” She’ll have
some of her original wearable art and jewelry on hand at the event. It is worth saying that the people of this community are also a major source of inspiration of hers. That sense of connection moves her to get out to numerous markets and regularly teach crafting workshops in the area. So it only made sense for her to share that love of community by choosing this milestone to celebrate together. Another love of Melina’s is music and dance, so from 6-8 her partner Brian Jasper Hull and his group, Jasper Grooves Collective, will be playing their unique brand of eclectic, soulful world music. So don’t forget your dancing shoes and we’ll see you on June 3 rd !
