Calling all prospective sound techs for our new sound technician internship
We are looking for an engaged and enthusiastic steward of all things sound!
Prior experience with sound is highly encouraged though all experience levels are welcome.
WF is a non profit arts and literature org, we are seeking individuals who support our mission and see this opportunity as both a learning experience and a way to contribute to the greater arts and music scene of Northern Colorado.
Expectations:
Each intern will first shadow our current sound techs to understand our gear and the flow of our space for musical performance. We have historically been a DIY performance space and are working to simplify and streamline our concert experience.
The interns will have one shift every three weeks and work with our four music residents over the course of three months.
Interns will be expected to:
Check in with musician ahead of time to discuss sound needs each month
Act as a point person when musicians and collaborators arrive at the Publick House (show them around, the stage option and the layout option)
Help set up our sound gear as needed
Monitor sound throughout the 2 hour performance
Take down and organize sound equipment back to its home here at the Publick House
One performance should average ~3 hrs of your time
After the three month term you will be considered for a second round of musicians for another three months if you would like.
Compensation
This internship is unpaid. The selected participants will be given a tab for food and drink at the Publick House of $50 per musical event worked.
This program’s intention is to eventually provide paid opportunities for sound in our small performance space. This goal and project is a work in progress and we are excited to grow it with you, together.
